Holiday in Northern Cyprus...

In Northern Cyprus there are beach clubs where you can visit for the day and enjoy the best beaches, watersports, restaurants and sunbathing around. The nearest one to the apartment is Sunset and is ideal for families with children. Here you take part in things such as paintballing, boat trips, fishing trips, Jet skis and private pool. Not to say the wonderful sea, restaurants and bars for just relaxing and soaking up the sun.
Tolgas bar, bakery and restaurant is situated at the top of the driveway and a small supermarket and bakery just a few more yards away. Tolgas hosts a weekly craft market on Saturdays. The larger Hos Bes supermarket is just a few hundred yards from the apartment.

There are many other bars and restaurants within 5 minutes drive including; Flippers Hotel & Bar, Stumble Inn, Haci Ali’s, Silver Rocks restaurant, Marmaris Fish Restaurant, and an Italian restaurant.

The Escape Beach Club is situated along the main road to Kyrenia just 10 minutes from the apartment. Here you can enjoy the sun, sea and watersports by day. By night the venue at Escape includes 5 Mile Restaurant and Disco Bar where you can have a meal and sip your exotic cocktail made by the talented bartenders as you admire the beauty of the Escape shore. Then the Escape Beach Club changes into one of the hottest club venues in Northern Cyprus, with a reputation of bringing the top DJ’s to the island. Best of all the Club is open air, so you can dance under the stars in the cooling sea breezes. 

Other bars & restaurants within 10 minutes include; Slurps Bar, Woody’s, Chapter One Turkish and International Restaurant, Capitano Fish Restaurant, The Ravine (Fish & Chips), Mr Chan’s Chinese Restaurant, Citrus Tree Restaurant, Saint Tropez Bar / Grill and Bar Code Club, Merit Casino. Along with these are many other supermarkets and a pharmacy.

Just 15 minutes away is Kervans Pizza & Restaurant (highly recommended for lunch overlooking the sea!!)

The apartment is situated just 20 minutes drive from the picturesque harbour of Kyrenia (Girne) . The harbour has many cafes and bars where you can just sit with a drink or have a meal with breathtaking views of the harbour and the fabulous Venetian Castle (Kyrenia Castle) which guards over the harbour. By night the castle is floodlit to show it in all its glory.  Kyrenia harbour is an elegant horseshoe shape, so nearly every café table has a great view over the water. Expensive yachts bob up and down in the marina next to working fishing boats, still wet from trips into the Mediterranean Sea. From here, cruise boats will take you on trips to some of the lovely beaches in North Cyprus.

For shoppers Kyrenia hosts a vast array shops for everything you need from grocery’s to clothes and shoes all at very reasonable prices. The town itself has grown in size and now accommodates all tastes.  

Just 25 minutes drive and you will be at the beautiful 12th Century Bellapais Abbey . Here you can wander around the narrow streets and look out at the whole of the north of the island. It is here that that you can find the Tree of Idleness, the place where Lawrence Durrell wrote his book “Bitter Lemons of Cyprus”.

Two further Beach clubs are within 25 minutes of the apartment, Vogue and Acapulco . Travel another couple of minutes and you will reach Alagadi  beach, “Turtle beach”.  Here the green and loggerhead turtles come to nest. You can arrange a visit to watch them hatch at night. Next along the coast road is the newly opened championship Korineum Estentepe Golf Course and Country Club . Here you can practice your swing at the 30 bay driving range, which is a spacious 295m x 100m, or take a lesson from the golf academy (with three holes of its own). After all that exercise, you can relax at the 19th hole in the clubhouse with a cooling drink or enjoy a meal at the 200-seat restaurant. Golf carts are available for those who prefer to ride rather than walk on their round of golf in North Cyprus.

Travel into the mountains and you find the fabulous St Hilarion Castle guarding over Northern Cyprus. It is rumoured that Snow Whites castle is based on St Hilarion Castle.
